Racers from opposite ends of the racing spectrum won their first ever features
Friday night at AMSOIL Speedway. Late Model driver T. J. Adams of Hayward,
WI captured his first career feature and Pure Stock driver Travis Zembo of
Superior took home his first career main event checkered flag.
It was almost a surreal moment when Adams revealed he was driving the car
that his late boss at Stone Lake Oil Keane Laakson had driven and was even
wearing Laakson's helmet. Jody Bellefeuille robbed Al Uotinen of his first feature
win of the season snatching the win by inches at the line in the Modified feature.
Brother Mike Bellefeuille won his third Super Stock feature of the season after
Shawn Rivord's car gave up the ghost with eight laps remaining. Up to this point
no one had anything for Rivord.

"With the amount of drivers and fans traveling from a long distance and the price of fuel, it was the right call to make. The forecast for late this afternoon and tonight looks really bad"
